OSPF Neighbor Authentication


                                    OSPF Neighbor Authentication
          {We use MD5 Authentications instead of Clear text}
                                {OSPF Authentication}
Ø  Router1(config-router)#router ospf 1
Ø  Router1(config-router)#area 0 authentication

{Interfaces Authentication}
Ø  Router1(config-if)#interface serial 1/1
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip ospf authentication message-digest
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip ospf message-digest-key 10 md5 cisco
{10:- key ID (Any ID but Same in All Routers}

Ø  Router1(config)#interface serial 1/0
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip ospf authentication message-digest
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip ospf message-digest-key 10 md5 cisco
{10:- key ID (Any ID but Same in All Routers}

Ø  Router2(config-router)#router ospf 1
Ø  Router2(config-router)#area 0 authentication
Ø  Router2(config-router)#exit

Ø  Router2(config-if)#interface serial 1/0
Ø  Router2(config-if)#ip ospf authentication message-digest
Ø  Router2(config-if)#ip ospf message-digest-key 10 md5 cisco
{10:- key ID (Any ID but Same in All Routers}

Ø  Router3(config-router)#router ospf 1
Ø  Router3(config-router)#area 0 authentication
Ø  Router3(config-router)#exit

Ø  Router3(config-if)#interface serial 1/1
