FraMe-Relay PoiNt-To-PoiNt ConFiGuraTion

Router1 interfaces Configuration
Ø  Router1(config)#interface serial 0/0
Ø  Router1(config-if)#description CONNECTED TO FRAME-RELAY SWITCH
Ø  Router1(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay           {Dedicate only for Frame-relay}
Ø  Router1(config-if)#no shutdown
Ø  Router1(config-if)#exit

Point-to-Point Sub Interfaces Configuration in Router1
Ø  Router1(config)#interface serial 0/0.102 point-to-point                
ü  0/0.102: - Sub interface any no. and Point-to-Point for Frame-relay configuration

Ø  Router1(config-if)#description CONNECTED TO FRAME-RELAY SWITCH
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip address 100.100.100.1 255.255.255.0
Ø  Router1(config-if)#frame-relay interface-dlci 102    {specify the Local DLCI no.}
Ø  Router1(config-if)#exit

Point-to-Point Sub Interfaces Configuration in Router1
Ø  Router1(config)#interface serial 0/0.103 point-to-point
Ø  Router1(config-if)#description CONNECTED TO FRAME-RELAY SWITCH
Ø  Router1(config-if)#ip address 200.200.200.1 255.255.255.0
Ø  Router1(config-if)# frame-relay interface-dlci 103
Ø  Router1(config-if)#exit

Router2 interfaces Configuration
Ø  Router2(config)#interface serial 0/2

Now we Configure Frame-Relay Switch {which is Actually a Router} Act as a Frame-relay Switch

This is Actually ISP Side Configuration
Ø  FRSW(config)#frame-relay switching      {enable Frame-relay Switching}
Ø  FRSW(config)#interface s0/0
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#description CONNECTED TO Router1
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#frame-relay intf-type dce           {DCE :- for give a Clock Rate}
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#clock rate 64000
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#frame-relay route 102 interface serial 0/1 201       {Routing}
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#frame-relay route 103 interface serial 0/2 301           {Routing}
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#no shutdown
Ø  FRSW(config-if)#exit

Ø  FRSW(config)#interface s0/2

Troubleshooting Command
Ø  Router# show frame-relay lmi
Ø  Router# show frame-relay map
Ø  Router# do show frame-relay pvc

Now Ping Router1 2 & Router3
Any Routing Protocol is running on Network {EIGRP, OSPF to connectivity with Routers Internal Networks
